Default Honda Civic has hard time starting when cold... Please help...

Hello,

I am having some real hard time starting up my car in the mornings or after I leave it parked for several hours. When it's warm, it works fine, but when the engine is cold, I have to crank it up several times. It will make the clicking sound, but won't ignine for a few minutes. If it does start up, it dies off right away, so I have to push on the gas pedal to keep it going. I am geting my alternator tested later on today, but I really have a feeling it's either an idle control valve or TW sensor. Any thoughts or ideas?

Default Please help.

Come on people!

Please help me out on this. Why would a honda 98 have hard time starting in the mornings and be fine afterwards throughout the day? The battery is fine and so is the alternator, got them both checked.

Your suggestions are very much appreciated.

Default Re: Please help. (hondakat)

Mine only does that when I'm lacking gasoline.
