swollen upper radiator hoses
Hi all, i have a 93 DX with a swollen upper radiator hoses. Bottom and top hoses are hot after driving it for 1 hour (freeway + street). The coolant reserve tank is below half way empty, as I filled it to the top about 1 month ago.
I do use the A/C from time to time, so maybe that is sucking up the coolant as well?
What I have done so far:
* Water pump changed
* Timing belt and tensioner changed
* Flush the coolant system.
But didn't change the thermostat during what was performed above. Do i need too?
Don't have any white smoke, no over heating, fan does kick in, and no coolant discovered during my oil change over the weekend.
Do you think it is my headgasket?
I will be bleeding the coolant system again, replacing the upper and lower hoses, and change the thermostat at the same time. I might change the radiator cap since it is clocking in 176k. Not sure if the engine was swapped as the block has a stamp ZC.

Re: swollen upper radiator hoses
Thank you for the quick reply. The headgasket doesn't show any sign of oil leak or wet, but will perform the bleeding coolant, and change all the parts before moving toward to the Head Gasket.

Re: swollen upper radiator hoses
Ok, correction... My radiator fan isn't working.
Did the paper clip test and it does turn over... so this leads me to the Thermo Switch (next to the thermostat housing).
Order and switching that out with replacement of upper + lower hoses. After that, bleed the system and cross my fingers and hope my hoses doesn't swollen like a balloon.
Any other inputs???
