Default Switching suspension pieces

This is for a 98 Ex, I just bought my friend a set of H&R Spring and KYB's from ebay. But with winter coming along I guess we're gonna have to wait. But what I was thinking was, when you switch over different springs and shocks, what are the factory pieces you're suppose to keep? I'm asking cuz I was just gonna pick up these pieces at a junkyard so that swapping in the new springs and shocks would be easier. I'd have the new ones for summer, spring and fall and the factory ones for winter, and all I'd have to do is jack up the car and unbolt the winter version and bolt in the new ones and vice versa. Hopefully that made sense. TIA.

All the tophat pieces front and rear, the strut fork for the bottom of the front two AGX's and all the metal washers that keep your **** from punching through your hood . Just see if you can't snag the entire strut assembly from your model year Civic. If you don't, you'll be playing mechanic at a junkyard instead of at your garage and be WAY more likely to lose the little parts.

you'll need the factory strutmounts(top hats), bumpstops, and maybe a washer(your agx's might come with em though).

find a diagram.

but yeh. .if you end up getting a full strut assembly and have to hook a springcompressor onto it to get the tophat off.. you're really just wasting your time.

It'd be a one time thing only, this way I have a suspension set for winter (factory) and the aftermarket for all the other seasons already assembled. All I'd have to do each season is jack up the car and unbolt last season's suspension and bolt in the new one rather than everytime having to take it to a shop to have the tophats and bumpstops taken out to switch to the new ones. I wonder if that made any sense?

ah makes fine sense,
if you are in fact going to have to swap it out alot,
then yeah having an extra set can be very handy.
