give the steering wheel a few jiggles left and right while you turn the key.
The steering wheel is giving pressure to the lock and is making it hard to turn. All you need to do is relieve the pressure.

Maybe your key is worn. I used to have this kind of problem until I went to the dealer and had a new key made. If your key is worn then getting a copy will not help because you'll just have a copy of the worn key. If you go to the dealer they can make you a fresh key by knowing your VIN, for only a couple bucks. Bring your registration inside for proof of ownership. Visit the parts counter.

Dear All,
Thank you for your comments, Steering lock is easy to open by moving a bit to left or right, but half way to accessory I is hard. Is there any other reason ?

could jsyt be gunk buildup from you sticking your key in your nose and whatnot.
parts stores carry this graphite lock de icer stuff. its liquid ballbearings in a can. it works wonders for frozen ignition lock tumblers.
