swapping out the powersteering rack for a manual rack
should be pretty simple, has anyone else done it or ran into any problems? i would like manual steering, but would it just be easier to loop my ps lines together and loose everything involved with ps (pump, belt, hoses, resivor) and just T the lines together? than to actually swap in a manual rack> lemme know

if you will not have a PS pump on there then you HAVE to put a Manual rack on. The PS pump will be harder to steer with than the manual rack. I just swapped mine out, and the only problem I ran into was that the bracket that holds the manual rack on the passenger side had the bolt holds in a slightly different position, so a little modification to the bracket fixed it. The car felt MUCH MUCH better with the manual rack on. Plus I got rid off all the PS lines, resorvoir and cooler making the engine bay look more clean and less cluttered.
Be sure to do an alignment after swapping the racks.
