swapping out decks, would i lose stock alarm/keyless entry?
i wanna throw in an mp3 cd deck but i'm afraid i'll lose my stock alarm system and keyless entry. Anyone know?

If you have a 96-98 Civic then yes. Instead of removing it just locate it hidden under the dash and you will be able to retain them.

yep this is correct, and the only way to retain factory keyless because it is hooked up to the deck.

yeah they are right, you jam it in still hooked up behind your dash... thats the only way to keep keyless in a 96-98, you dont have to worry about it with anyother year.

wiring harness 801720t from metra will keep it plugged in for you. to make it easier to hide, remove the bracket from the rear of the radio(2 screws on back i think) and remove the face, 2 screws on either side, and fold the tabs in. this will give you something smaller to hide.
