swapping intake manifolds ... help plz
98 civic hx (converted to manual)
quick question guys ... i have an auto im with my iacv under the tb. i am going to convert my iacv into a two wire one so i can plug it into a manual im.
i plan on getting a 5 spd y8 intake manifold and plug my iacv into that. my main question is ... can i still keep the tb that i have and maybe jb weld the holes where the iacv was under the tb? or can i just leave it alone since its just a sensor?
any comments will help ... i've searched and havent found anything about using the same tb ... my reg is expired and i need to pass smog

if you just weld it there's a chance that you might have a leak and will not pass smog. depending on the smog place if they see that you have an unplugged sensor they might fail you
