Swapping gears in a d- series
I recently bought an d-series si trans for my car, and decided to put new bearings and syncro's in before i threw it in my car. when we tore it down we discovered that on shift fork was completely shattered and the rest had a small edge broke off. now i am wonderng if it is possible to take my lx tranny apart and use it as a parts donor. could i just swap the gears out of the si/ex tranny into the lx case? will the shift forks andeverything else match up?
