I've had my dx civic hatchback for about a year now. Being an automatic and with a SOHC non-vtec engine under the hood its well.....slow. I recently obtained a 94 Accord for free because it got in an accident, however the entire front end is flawless. My guys say that they can get it done with the right stuff, but I've never heard of a swap like this before. If its possible I'd like to do it. I'm kinda new to this sort of a conversion so pardon me if it seems crazy. If anyone has heard of this sort of thing before or has any suggestions about how to pull it off lemme know. Thanks

Meh, it's kind of a waste considering what you'll have to pay for accessories (i.e. the H22/F22 mount kit and wiring issues).

It's the same exact process as an H22 swap but without the ultimate payoff. Kinda like getting head from a hot chick who doesn't finish then steals you wallet as she leaves .

add a h22a vtec head on her and u'll have hp and torque

I believe the F22 in the 1994 and 1995 Accords are OBD-1, so wiring isn't going to be as tough. The 1996 and 1997 are OBD-2. They do have good torque though. My g/f has the F22B1 (SOHC VTEC) and it's got great torque. Even for an Auto, it runs good when on WOT. Also, for being a heavy car.

Mate the motor to an H22 tranny, you're good to go.

I see what you're saying, but the problem is I'm in college and simply dont have thousands of dollars to throw into an h22. I got the accord for FREE, so its what I have to use. I know full well that the h22 is more powerful, but the f22 is what I have and its what needs to go in. I spoke with the guys at my local performance shop and they laid out the project so I know what I need to get. The only parts that my buddies and I cannot do are one custom tranny mount (that the shop can do) and apparently I can use my d16 tranny computer on the accord tranny because they shift at relatively the same rpms. I need to get the electronic schematics from honda for both the accord and civic to pull it off and the shop I go to said they could figure it out if we couldnt and they could do it while making the custom tranny mount. So though its more difficult than your average swap, its whats gotta be done. In the end I will have a very unique car for my neck of the woods and to me that means just as much as having a fast car. If you have any suggestions on how to do the F22 swap lemme know

GOOD CLOSING THERE HELLO MY NAME IS FRANK AND THIS AM NOT USING A F22 BUT AN F23 OUT OF A CL WITH 5 SPD HYDRO ITS ALOT OF WORK BUT THJE REASON FOR ME TO PULL THIS ONE OFF IS THE FACT THAT I HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH AND SO FAR HAVE LEARNED THAT THE F22 AND F23 HOLD A **** LOAD OF BOOST ON STOCK INTERNALS ALREADY ME AND MY BUDDY DID THE SWAP ON AN ACCORD MOTOR WAS AN F22B1 OUT OF AND OBD2 AND PUT IT IN A 90 ACOORD WITCH WAS A BITCH HAD TO EXTEND SOME WIRES AND USING A P28 THIS WAS ALL POSIIBLE THE ACCORD WAS SO MUCH MORE BALLSEY IN THE 90 THAT I SAID I'M DOING THIS PLUS TURBO IN A CIVIC EG SPOKE TO MY GUYS IN A LOCAL SPEED SHOP AND SPOKE TO PEOPLE AT A TUNING SHOPP AND THEY PROMISED ME SAFELY RUNNING11-13 LBS WILL GET CLOSE TO 300 HORSES I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU GUYS BUT FOR THE PRICE,WORK,AND PAYOFF THIS WORKS FOR ME BEING ALSO THE TORQUE ON ACCORD ENGINE IS THAT MUCH ALMOST EQUAL TO HORSE POWER THAN COMPARED TO B AND D SERIES....WILL KEEP THIS IN MY LIST OF TOUCHIONG BACK THIS SUBJECT GETTING MY F23 TOMORROW IT ALL BEGINS....ps oopss sorry for the caps just noticed lol..

My buddy has an F22 sitting around for me to throw in my EG, but I'm really leaning towards an LS swap since it will be far easier. My other reasons for wanting a B18 is parts will be cheaper. So torn..

My f22 runs great in my 93 hatch, but then again it's the DOHC. I couldn't pass up the swap with hasport mounts, shiter, ecu, axles and tranny for 500 bux.
