Swapped the SOHC out! in with the LS motor **(PICS 56k go away)**
ok, well im posting on behalf of civcexcoupeblack
Finally, the sedate civic EX lost the standard motor, in favor of a built b18b.
the new motor has:
endyn rollerwave 9.0:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
Race Eng Block Gaurd
ACL bearings
Crower Valve Springs
Action 2md clutch
regular mods are:
Short Ram Intake
modified ITR exhaust
KYB AGX shocks
Ground Control Coilovers
and now for the pics
RPC07 (ryan) of HT (thanks for letting us use ur garage for everything!)
complete with split overflow tank creating coolant everywhere.
civicexcoupeblack himself (billy)
and its out! from back left moving forward then right back is: civicexcoupeblack (billy) 94goldjungsr (sam) Tegasaurus (me, the other ryan) Mugensport9 (gus) then nate... nate isn't on HT...
and finally the b18b is in (don't mind the background integra ):
thanks everyone!
-ryan, ryan, billy, sam, gus, nate

any other big plans for the ls? boosting it? looks much better than the sock that was in there. also, any pics of the ITR cat-back?

Ill take some for you. It is about 2 inches from the bumper of my car, as in it looks kind of tucked in. you will see. I think it looks good though, better than stock for sure As far as turbo, the assembly of parts has now begun Im projecting turbo within a month. Going for 400 whp. Im hoping for low 11's in the civic. Although I dream big Im trying the break in method of running the motor pretty hard for the first 20 miles, then taking it easy for another 200 or more. we shall see how it goes.

yeah, a lot of problems arised that were mainly electrical... those silly grounds
wire harness was also a trick, ended up not using the b18b harness at all.

Re: (tegasaurus)
We are now swapping experts ..........NOT Skillz learned this swap: How to solder wires, How not to remove A/C (green is actually ac stuff, my whole engine bay was a neon green toxic waste land ), always check grounds if engine wont start, and timing belts should ALL die, I hate every single one of them! Oh yeah, engine hoists are amazing. $150 at checkers plus free leveler (had a dicontinued on in the back), and $15 of chains. Always remember when doing a swap, two cams are better than one!!

Looked like a nice "sock" to me. Too bad you got rid of it.

is that a brand new motor? im assuming no. and if not, new pistons / rings?
if not, then the whole running hard for 20 miles is totally pointless...its just to break in the pistons / rings so they seat properly. the crosshatch goes away after about 20 miles

you're shooting for 400 whp on stock sleeves???? How much boost you plan on running??
I don't think you'll hit that goal bro...but good luck Should see 300-320 with 12-14 psi safely though
