Default swapped out 95 b18c for 2001 b18c

well i finally sold my 95 b18c1 with no tranny for 1700 bux. i kept my 95 tranny and decided to come out my pocket another 650 and pick up a 01 b18c1 long block. finished puttin it in this weekend. i switched out because mine had 90000 miles on it and this one only had 39000 miles on it. thats the only reason i did it so i would have a motor that was fresher and would last longer. i had no idea that newer motors pulled so much harder than the older ones. this motor responds to boost so well it shocks me. any ways just wanted to share my thoughts on the difference in feel between older and newer motors. time to hit the track and see what my times will be.

Good to hear things are on the up and up for you man. I got a little worried when you were talking about selling your ride and getting something nicer. I might be right next to you w/ boost in the very near future. Keep up the good work

What were your numbers with the obdI motor and what are your numbers with the new obdII motor?

Curious

numbers with old motor was 14.4 at 106 mph with wheels spin through 3rd gear and no traction. with the new motor we are going this fri to the track so i am gonna try to get slightly beter tires and see what i can dfo but if i can hook up with good traction and a good 60 footer then i think low 13's are possible. i only boosting 5 psi when i ran 14.4 @105 now im booting 10 psi so we will see what happens. i am excited though

What were the HP and Torque #s. I think that was what he was asking for. But now that they are at different PSI ratings, we'll never know the HP increase stock for stock.
