Wzup dudes? ight, i bought a 98 itr swap off my homeboy last week for a good price...tha motor was in his car for about 6 months and ran fine, but now since put it in my car it wont start... i dont think i did anything wrong while swapping (it was my first swap) because when i put my dx motor back in his car it ran and drove fine... the r is gettin spark and fuel i checked all tha fuses and they were all good. .. i thought it was tha starter but tha cam gears are turnin and someone told me that if tha cam gears are turning than it aint the starter (dont kno if thats tru or not).. can someone help? this is killin me.thanx guys..

just because the cam gears are turning doesn't mean that the starter is good. If the starter isn't getting any juice then it would turn manually but not turn on. are you getting to where the lights come on in the on possition is the engine not cranking at all. Can you hear the relay to the starter click over? narrow down the problem, but you have to start from the begining

yea i think tha engines crankin..when i turn tha key theres like a PUTT PUTT PUTT PUTT from tha exhaust...tha lights come on when tha key is in the on postion, and tha starter isnt clicking, it sounds like its spinning..i tried hittin it with a hammer and that didnt work either

check the grounds to the motor dude...especially the one on the thermostat housing

the grounds are all good...i tried those over and over a million times..i was thinkin it has somethin to do with tha motor being obd2 and my civic being 0bd1..but tha car it came out of was bd1 also...
