Swaping out steering column, different ignition housings??

I bought this 95 Ex coupe with a broken ignition housing with the intent of swapping out the steering column. I pulled a column from the junkyard (95 ex coupe also) and brought it home only to find the ignition looks different.

My column need a hollow six point socket to remove the ignition but the junkyard one has no bolts at all??

Is there any difference between the electrical connections or anything else in the 92-95 models? I also took both door and the trunk lock cylinders but id like to avoid swapping everything if at all possible.

Should I just look for my exact model ignition and not use this one?

They're the same. Yours was probably replaced at some point in the past from a theft or something. But even the 94 Integra key cylinder is interchangeable with the 92-95 Civic.

It has a bolt just like yours does, you will just have to be creative at how you can turn it. It's really not very tight at all...

I would tell you exactly how but people will probably jump on me saying I just told everyone how to steal cars (yeah right, there was no such thing as car theft beforehand) and secondly it is plainly obvious.

I guess my question should have been how to get the ignition out of the housing that has no bolts holding in it; so I can install it in the new column?

Cut a gash into into the bolts and turn it with a flatblade screwdriver.
