Default swap question

wats up ht? this is my first post....so if im not askin my question in the right area or somethin then my my fault...anyway the problem is that i have two hatches and one is a EF and one is a EG i recently got a LS dropped in the EF and i still have the stock motor that was in there and it doesnt have any problems at all.i also have a EG but the block has gone bad n it has a rod knock and all that other stuff... i wanna use the stock d15 block from the EF to drop into the EG but the EF was obd0 and the EG is obd1....is there any way to get around changing the wiring harness and everything? id appreciate any help i can get...thanks

it will work fine, use the EG harness w/ the EF motor, also swap the EG dizzy, intake, injectors, alternator and use the EG tranny, and it will be fine.

thanks a lot for the help but also i wanted to ask if i had to use the head from my eg motor to put it onto the ef block. one of my boys told me that to keep the same wiring i would have to use the eg head and that if i did that i would have to buy gaskets for the ef block to mount the eg head

doesnt really matter which head you use, the main thing to worry about it the intake manifold, dizzy, and alternator. other than that, if both are non vtec there arent many differances.
