Re: Swap problems!!! (Southtownracing)
You dont have a bracket on the manifold? Last time i checked the bracket was bolted on the manifold..
If you dont have one why dont you just buy one from somewhere.. It sure beats making one that can fail..

You could try looking into a different cable or i THINK you can use one hole on
the ls bracket to temp. fix it on there ......

I think he's asking about making a bracket like he doesn't have one to begin with..
If he has a bracket and the cable isnt reaching the TB then he can probably do what you said and move it closer to the TB and use one screw only. I've seen that done before lol.. NYC has its share of backyard mechanics..
EDIT: I know what hes talkin about now.. The "normal" shaped manifolds (b16, ls, type r) have the cable coming across the top with the bracket somewhere on the top.. But the GSR manifold has this bracket somewhere right near the TB so the cable is suppose to loop around.. Basically pulling the TB left (looking from the front of the car) as opposed to the LS design that pulls right...
Anyway you need to get that bracket if you dont have it..

Re: Swap problems!!! (Southtownracing)
if the cable is too long, try a 10 dollar bracket from jdmshit.com. black powdercoated piece, and worked with my b16 in an eg.
