Swap problem

Help?
I'm in the middle of swapping my 99 ek, I put in a b18a1 out of a 94 teg. I did all the wiring and everything and it wouldn't fire on the ecu I got with the motor and couldn't figure it out, but when I plugged in my old d16y8 ecu it fired right up, would it hurt to drive it with the y8 ecu until I either get a new b18a1 ecu or get the problem figured out?

Swap problem
I'll start with what all I have
99 civic ek (obd2b)
the car was swapped from auto to a 5 speed d16y8 a few months ago and was running obd2a harness and ecu and ran great but I now am swapping in a B18a1 swap from a 94 integra (obd1) I converted the harness to the b18a1, I read through a bunch of forums but it seems I'm missing something somewhere.
I rewired for (alternator, injectors, destributor)
The car wouldn't start with the obd1 ecu, but if I plugged in the obd2a ecu from the 5 speed d16y8 it starts right up and idles with no problem at all.
is there something I missed in the forums? Any help would be great because this is my second swap

Re: Swap problem
I know that, what I am saying is the DOHC ecu for the b18 will not start the car, but the sohc ecu for the d16 will and I'm trying to figure out why the ecu that came with the b18 that is in my car will not start the b18

Re: Swap problem
Did you move the pins in the ECU for the fuel pump? I’m pretty sure they’re in a slightly different location on the Civic than the Integra.
EDIT:
Just confirmed this.
OBD2b ECU connector A
Pin A15 - Integra fuel pump relay
Pin A16 - Civic fuel pump relay
EDIT2:
Nevermind, I just saw where you were using OBD2A.
