Swap out my D16z6 or keep it?
This is what i'm thinking should i keep my d16 to turbo it and build it with the money i could have spent on buying b series or if i'm lucky enough a k series and swap kit or should i go with a b or k series and not build it just run it stock because i'm sure i won't have any money left to build the b or k series? This would be going in my 95 civic ex.

If you have to ask then you won't be doing it. Regardless of the engine. If you have to ask strangers how to spend your money then that should be a sign.

For the money you'll make more power boosting the z6. It will cost around the same price as a gsr swap if you do it properly, such as getting it tuned and not opting for eBay parts. My friend made 191whp on a d15b with a greddy kit, fmic, t3/t4, and Hondata. It was faster than his itr which also made 191whp. You know h, b, and k series have more potential, but I'm assuming your only concerned about HP for the money. Also, you'll probably make more torque if you boost the z6, depending on the size of the turbo, how many psi you choose, cam, etc. Which imo makes daily driving way more fun. My b18c is way more fun to drive around than my b16a was because of the extra torque.

You can make any amount of power out of any of those engines. Everyone wants to do a K swap, but for the money it's stupid. Also, I don't think it's necessarily the best idea to put a K in a 15+ year old car. It goes against logic. Honestly, I just hate these "this or this" threads. It's your decision man, you gotta do your own research and have your own views. Do what you want. You let people make the decision, you'll be disappointed in the end.

Re: Swap out my D16z6 or keep it?
since i decided what went in your car can i drive it for you too?
don't do a K. it'll cost probably at least 5-7k just to get it ready to be built.(i included kpro).
don't waste the money on a swap.
turbos are lame but i'd just keep your D and boost it. can easily make 2-250 with not a whole lot of money.
good luck makin up your mind.
