Swap mount needed for b18b into a 96-98 ek
this is from my experience from doing this motor swap hope its helpful for you guys....
here's the diagram
this is a 99-00 civic si diagram
you going to need to get the #7 bracket thats the rear engine mount bracket
you can not use the rear bracket off of the b18b bc its totally different. anywais lets move on. the second bracket you need from this diagram is the # ek-14-1
thats the mount that is on the engine by the timing belt. you cannot use the one from the b18b bc where the two pins or nuts or whatever you call it. on the b18b its parrell to each other, but on the 99-00 civic si its like at an angle similar to the one on your stock engine thats why you need the one from the si so you can mount it on the bracket of the car. i hope i havent lost ya yet. the # ek-14-1 bracket or mount it cost me 66.66 at the dealer. and #7 cost me 53.17 without tax
since the #2 from the diagram is mounted on the body of the 96-98 ek you going to need to take the #6 bracket from your old engine and mounted on the b18b engine bc when you buy the engine the bracket and the mount is totally different youll understand what im talking about when you compare the two. the front tranny mount you can use the same one on the car or on the new engine of yours heheh.
okay this is for all of you guys down in the dirty south which by the way where im from. if you would like to keep your ac in the ek you going to need to get ac bracket from a 96 del sol. its probably going to be hard to get it from the junkyard so i went to the dealership and got it. i got it for 74.36 thats tax and everything.
well thats all i have right now so if i miss anything then drop a line or pm me.
