swap into my 93 HB
OK so im kinda new at this i know a little about swaps but not enough, and its come time to do one in my 93 CX HB im think either b18 or LS/VTEC i have about 3K for the compleat swap running in my car. i know i need a block, head, and trany. what i dont know is will the axles from the B18 or what ever motor i decide on fit onto my civic. also what do i need for my electronics. i have a friend in a high place at skunk 2 so i can get all their parts almost at 50% off so i dont need to worry about intake manifold throtle body and ect.... but i need to know about the electronics and the axles. thanks and any advice on which swap i should do would be greatly taken
P.S. im looking to beat a 73 plymoth duster with a 340 and dual quads with 9.5:1 and a 72 plymoth roadrunner with a 400 and a four barrel carb. both of these cars are my friends and i need to show them that imports can hold their own

Re: swap into my 93 HB (NScivic)
if this is your first swap ...i say gsr swap .....any b series axles will work in your car .....as far as ecu have it chipped with your friend at skunk 2

with 3k. if you can find a complete for b18c, go with b18c. everything will fit as long as you get a complete swap. you will NOT be using your cx axle, shift linkage and motor mounts. so make sure you have those when doing any B series swaps.
electronic, if you get a usdm and their electronic harness is still good, use theres, im not sure if it'll fit to the 3 main big harness(2 on driver and 3 on passenger) jdm right hand drive harness i dont think they will fit. you can try using your stock cx harness, that would fit perfectly except a few plugs that is located in different places.(like some is a bit closer or some a bit further, not a big deal, just cut off black plastic and electric tape it back up).
but i never been in a ls/vtec swap into a cx so i wouldn't know how fast it can go, but for 3k a gsr motor would be quick. i had one, love the high reving motor. some infos i have given may be wrong so please fix any errors. good luck.

i will only tell you if you juice me in on those skunk 2 parts . The b18c is the most well rounded motor imo. you cant go wrong with it. but i dont know if you can have it installed for 3000. and about hooking me up with those parts...
