Default swap info?

ok, ive come to the conclusion that i need the swap instead of my d16y7. so im gonna start saving, but after i get the engine im going to "stand" it for a while, b4 i drop it in there, im going to turbo it, and all that fun stuff, but i need to know how hard is it going to be without a lift? and is there really anything else i need, like a longer wire or hose or something that duznt come with the complete swap? just wondering.... im new to this still basically, so ya know not the most knowledgeable. thanx

cherry picker at costco $200, problem solved for the lift. Not the best picker in the world, but it will help.

you could RENT a heavy duty one from the nearest machinery rental store for cheap...

also if you got a friend at a shop, borrow theirs...cherry pickers are really not something to fret over when doing a swap. if this is your first one, then you will have much bigger problems i promise...

ive done 3...not one has been perfect.

EDIT: by 'not one has been perfect.' i dont mean the swaps are ****, i mean we messed up or did something wrong, or encountered a bitch of an obstacle every time...

the swaps outcomes are perfect...i didnt mean to debase myself there...sheesh

depends on what you buy from where.

some places sell the motor only and some places like osakajdmmotors.com sell everything from the engine mounts to the ECU.

ok well ive changed my mind and just going to thro it in there, instead of standing it for a while, but i really wanna do it myself, instead of paying 800 extra for it, and i want the experience and challenge of it, so im wondering exactly i need to do this installation, the swap comes with:Motor, Tranny, ECU, Engine wiring harness's, all brackets and sensors, all required cables, distributor, complete intake manifold, a/c, power steering pump, alternator, motor mounts. now i dunt have power steering now, will it make a difference that this comes with power steering, and will it work? or no? and with all the right parts about how long will this take? now im looking for an answer from somebody that has had experience with problems, and has dun a swap or 2 themselves. but thats it thanx.
