Default swap help

With out somone saying "Google it" can somone tell me or give me a link for what is need for a complete swap on a 98 civic ex coupe d16y8 to a b20b with b18 manual trans? Or b16 I'm not sure which yet. Please don't be condescending lol just help. I know right off the bat the swap calls for shift linkage motor mounts and intake manifold because b20 will hit hood.

What would be the most reliable swap b16b or b18c? I did research on b20b swap and along with being the most inexpensive swap there saying you need to tare down the block to reinforce it or somthing is this true?

All honda engines are reliable, taken into the fact that they are well taken care of by there owners.

B18C's and B16B's are just as reliable as one another. The B16B is more rev friendly...but has no torque and the stock ECU map makes no fu#$ing sense. Its a good motor for a stripped out hatchback if you need to stay with a 1.6 for some sort of race regulation. 9200RPM rev limit and shorter final drive gears is almost a must with a B16B. Don't put this in a coupe or an integra.

The B18C-R makes more power/torque but costs more. It's quick in any of the apppicable chassis'.

I never heard of a b series being unreliable unless you do those "Frankenstein" swaps (i.e. B20 block with B18C1 head). I got a B18C1 installed for $1650 w/ 120k miles and it ran strong. If I can find a GSR swap for less than 2k, im sure you can too. I'm not really a fan of the B20, but that's just me.

The OP didn't do a proper job collecting info. B20 has weak cylinder walls and its not recommended for boosting. Thats why I asked what does he have planned for the swap.
