swap it and forget it...
Well, my d16 on my ek decided to take a massive **** this weekend, engine is toast. It served for well ( got it brand new in 1997). Now I am in the market for a swap, I am looking for a engine that i can swap in and forget about it. Its going to be my daily driver, I am not planning on racing or anything. Found a local shop that does JDM type r and k20a2 swaps. $4200 + tax and labour for the Type R, $5200 for the k20. My budget is $7000, are these two option a good way to go? Or am i better off getting something els?
Cheers

If your not planning to race, why spend so much money on that motor?
You are better off getting a LS or another single rather then spending those kind of money and not putting it to use.

why not just put another single cam in it, and save your money?

Either one of these is a good option. OBD2 B18b1 or a D16y7/y8. If you want to go real cheap you can just swap out a longblock for cheap. If it blows you can always find another one.
