Default Swap or don't swap?

Hi, I have a 92 civic vx hatch with a d15z1 in it, I was wondering if anyone thinks it would be worth building. Otherwise I'd think about swapping the engine with a d16z6, or possibly a h22 or h23, opinions?

Keep that car as is, clean unswapped Vx's are pulling good money these days. Engine is not worth building, it was designed with economy in mind, not power. Or if you decide to swap it, keep the original engine to swap back in later when you do decide to sell it.

If it ain't broke don't fix it or in your case swap. I plan on running my D15Z1 to the ground then go for a B series motor.

Building a Z1 is pointless you'll just ruin a great mpg motor.

Also there is no tech here.

Only way you'll get power out of a D is boost anything else is a waste of $ for the little power gained.

Sell the VX and use the money to buy a car with a bigger engine.

The problem is that I'm from Wisconsin so the rear quarters are rusted to **** so I'm changing them out, and I changed the engine with a different d15z1, does that drop the value and it has aftermarket bucket seats and headunit, and no back seats, is it still worth anything? How much do you think it's worth?

I've got about 2 grand in it, so I'd need at least 3 grand to pick up a good car

I could post pics later, but they'll be of it before fixing the rear quarters, those are being fixed right now

ok but what I mean is if you live in a big city there would be a bigger demand vs in a small little town out in the sticks somewhere. at the end it really comes down to what someone is willing to pay the "best offer"

i say throw a small turbo on it, you can still get good gas mileage out of boost and have some fun power up top, even with the small restrictive intake on it

So no rough estimates on price? I mean I don't live in a tiny town, but there are a few big cities within a few hours

No. No one one knows how much of a POS it actually is. On top of it all this isn't even a tech question. It'a a "what it's worth" question and there a thread dedicated to those types of questions.

Always. But it doesn't negate the fact that no one knows what your POS is worth. Not even a single picture posted to give anyone an idea.

Might ant to familiarize yourself with teh stuck items at the top of the forum.

Well I mean you can call it a POS if you want, I could really care less what you think, but there's no need to be a dick about it
