everything will swap right over with no modifications. only thing you'll have to worry about is converting the VX 5-wire o2 sensor to a 4-wire o2 sensor.

he might be right cause the z1 is kinda like a y5 and i know the y5 also has a 5 wire O2 sensor.

youll need the ecu, and its going to be alot easier (and cheaper if your payin someone) to convert to a 4 wire o2 than run a whole new harness. and the way the vtec works and a true vtec car is different that that of the vx, the vx doesnt have a true vtec system, so yes, youll need to run the 2 wires from the shock tower (assuming its is a 92). one to the vtec solenoid and one to the oil pressure switch, and ground one of the wires on the oil pressure switch. im not entirely sure on how to convert to a 4 wire, but i know ittl be alot easier for you to do it than pay someone, cause thell charge you for it, also you should know how stuff on your car works and where its wired to. can someone help him out on the 5-4 wire 02?

incorrect. the d15z1 does already have a vtec oil pressure switch and solenoid wire. it will be a drect swap (EVERYTHING will swap over). he just needs to conver from 5 wire to 4 wire 02 sensor and run a p28 ecu.

my bad man, i just knew that when i got my "jdm d15b vtec", i was the economy version and there were no provisions for the vtec solenoid, just the oil pressure switch. so i assumed there wasnt a real vtec system at work, sorry for the misinfo man.

and by the way dan.. my plan is to just swap the motor and have it running jus so i can get back and forth to work.. my car has right now 268,000 miles on it lol... yes its no typeo.. "268,000 miles on it!" so i know my baby is tired and worn out.. thats why im jus doin it the most unexpensive way.. for the fact that i dont make much money.. once my car is driveable.. i wont have to worry about losing my job and i can start saving up from November till around mid March or early April.. so YES im planning on gettin the ex/si tranny cuz i've heard that i wont even feel a difference with the stock tranny.. and by atleast April i should have enough for the tranny, exterior kits and hopefully a new paint job^ weeee but thanks a bunch DAn for puttin in ur inputs... i really do appreciate it =] k if yall or anyone else have any other suggestions like dan... plz reply... Thanks again guys <3

d-series= single cam
b-series= dual cam

If you got a b16 motor.....you will need a new tranny, mounts, axles, shift linkage, among other assorted parts to make it work with your car.......your current stuff won't cut it

Here's wiring a GSR into a VX, should be the same for the d16z6 just forget the knock sensor and IAB's:
