SSSWWWAAPP IT !!!!! .. put a b16 or a gsr in .. dont waste ur timr boosting a single slammer unless ur goin to fully build an boost it .. but for a daily driver tht has the power whn needed i recommend a b16 or gsr ,.. expletive evn a b20 non v would rip in the del sol .. so for money wise a b20 it pretty cheap .. like 500 for the long block .. thn u need a tranny (ls for like 300) an mounts 250 .. so yah tht would b the cheapist ab most reliable b20

How much including installation are you willing to spend? Depending on your price range, some options may be better than others.

Best of both worlds big-cat, swap the LS and boost it . If you shopped around you could pick up a long block for pretty cheap and find a B16 or GSR tranny and then piece a turbo setup

Boost it on stock internals with a resonator and good exhaust and you'll run 14's and it'll be a great daily driver.

It'll cost you circum 2k. Well spent IMO, with a 2k budget on a turbo build you should have enough power to cream on I/H/E GSR's and B16's .

I say boost it. I have to boosted sohc honda's, wouldn't have it any other way.

With that being said, if you are building your own kit, which most do, i wouldn't do the DD for your first kit, unless you are prepared to do some work. I first did my hatch, it was good, i just learned a ton of things on what happens when you make your own kit. Now i just put one on my DD four door, and took my time and knowledge from my last kit, and built this one. Thus far (knock on wood) all is good. Nothing is loosening up, gaskets aren't blowing out, so on so forth.

Now, swapping in an engine, weekend project at most, plug and play, and usually close hood and enjoy. Bang for the buck if done yourself and done right, can't beat a turbo.
