B16a Questions
I currently have a 1994 del sol si with an automatic z6 in it... i am buying a B16a sir-II to swap into it and want to get roughly 200-225 hp out of it....Im not very familiar with the b-series engines but know my fair share about d-series.... my plans are Hasport mounts, Crower stage 1 cams, Edelbrock IM, TB(70mm), and Edelbrock Headers, Edelbrock timing gears, Fuelrail, 185cc injectors, fuel pump, along with full Exhaust by either Edelbrock or Greddy. For my transmission I am getting an ACT SPSS with streetlite flywheen since this will still be daily driven. Im also looking for a LSD but can't find one... Im not gonna list my suspension setup but it will taken care of in full.. my questions are.... is my power goal to far out of reach for my setup... and if so what will my numbers roughly be.... and could i reach my power goal with a stage 2 cam and high compression pistons?

edelbrock makes a catback for del sols??
and you ARE converting to 5 speed right?
i mean..i kinda cought on with the listing of a flywheel...but you didnt say it.
and i take it you want 225 whp?
cuz im pretty sure you'll need a lot more than that for 225whp...im not even sure you'll make 200whp...you might wana add a tune in there too.
the easiest way by far to make that kind of hp is to go boost.

Re: (jasony0630)
yes im converting to a 5spd... yes it will be getting a good tune and i want a N/A since my first car was boost(before the sol, Eagle talon, Drunk drivers hurt tuners)... i just want something different... and if i odn't like it i'll just boost it... the sir-II factory puts out 170 so i figured with the parts listed.. a stage 2 cam.. and some high compression pistons i could at least reach 200. and This is going to be the noob coming out in me.. while looking for parts for my b16a.. can i use parts for the b16a1,2 and/or 3. Such as the Edelbrock parts and what not. Go ahead and flame me away if it's a stupid question.... im just new to b-series

do that build then dyno it...
show papers.
i know it states that b16 sirII's come with 170hp out of the box but there are so many variables (age, wear, elevation...blah blah blah) that you cannot base your hp from what's listed.

i believe he is right 200 hp on a b16 is not easy to achieve. If u r going all motor invest in some itb's. With right tune and cams u have listed u will break your 200hp mark. And yes all b16 parts are interchangeable.
