Re: (97elitehonda)
lol I love how so many people shout out opinions without any reasons for their answers.
There has to be a reason why you think one brand or setup is better than the other. Chances are that the people with the loudest voices probably don't have either.
The OP wants a good DD suspension. The SKUNK2 is advertised as being a "race spec" suspension. I don't know how true that is...but the springs are probably pretty stiff and the damping is probably pretty harsh.
The overall quality of the Tein SS is probably also going to be a bit higher. The ride quality is going to be better. The Tein SS is pushed as being a very "street" coilover...hence the name Super Street. Usually, if Tein pushes something to be comfortable, it's going to be very comfortable. They're not going to be sloshy or anything. They're going to be firmer and more controlled than stock without being overly harsh. Skunk2 doesn't advertise that at all. They clearly say that the SKUNK2 full coilover is a "competition level" coilover.
Now I know that ricers love the word "race" to be on everything...but the OP just wants a good street DD suspension.
For that REASON, I'd say the Tein SS is your best bet.

For me the Tein SS would be the perfect fit for a daily driver. It handles the job of daily driving in comfort, at the same time it provides a firm grip on the road. The downside would be the adjustable damping force. It barely changes from the lowest to the highest setting, so it's more like a wow factor then function . Bottom line, for daily driving you can't go wrong with this setup.

Your answer was not relevant. It is also very cliche. I award you no 300 points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Re: (B16SolMan)
Why would you buy anything other than Ground Controls? Do some research and get whatever rates you want. Upgrade your shocks too. Cough, Koni Yellows, Cough....

agreed. But the OP probably won't know how to pick out spring rates. The OTS rates will do just fine, however.

I'm a moron?
Your "insightful" answer for the OP asking what type of DD suspension he should get was:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by B16SolMan »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I voted tein but I also like the Buddy Club as well--pure racing heritage</TD></TR></TABLE>
I can break it down for you as to why it was a ridiculous thing to say if you'd like:
1.) Who the F cares about "pure racing heritage"? He wants a DD suspension.
2.) What makes you think that Tein isn't involved in racing?
3.) Are all of Buddy Club's produts pure RACE products? No. They're not.
4.) For any retort that you have, refer to questions 1-3. Ask yourself before trying to make up some lame come back.
Do you even have buddy club suspension? Why are you even recommending it? I'm not damning Buddy club...for the price, the suspensions are pretty nice. But you didn't even give a reason as to why you'd suggest them.

The quality probably sucks and IIRC, the spring rates are a bit high. I can pretty much guarantee that Tein has better quality and spring rates for DD.

Follow-up to my suggestion of Tein SS...
I have this set up and could not be happier... At it's stiffest setting it handles extremely well... For cornering it's a beast, off the line even at the sitffest setting I still get some wheel hop even with urethane torque mounts.
Since I often have my wife and daughter in the car, the fact that loosening the dampening requires no tools is a huge bonus.
I got the set brand new for less than the suggested $1200 on the tein website.
