suspension stuff . .
alright now i KNOW there will be flamage on this topic, BUT please TRY to hold back lol. anyways, i am currently running GroundControl coilovers with stock shocks on my 00EX coupe. I finally saved up enough to buy me some aftermarket shocks, but i know absolutely NOTHiNG about whats out there. I am looking for something that will holdup against daily driving, some streets around here are pretty bad, other than that i will probably be dropped about 2.0 - 2.25" most of the time . . soooo what do you guys suggest ? ?

PERSONALLY..... I'd get Koni Yellows If I was running springs or coilover sleeves that dropped my car 2" or lower. Koni Yellows are, in MY opinion, the best aftermarket shocks right now. You can always get them revalved/repaired. They usually run from $550, but price doesn't mean much to ME, because suspension/brakes hold the future of your life and your passengers.

You can go with the Koni Yellows....probably your best option....but in all actuallity its always best to run a true coil-over set up....the valving and strut body are designed for changed spring heights.......suspension, tires and brakes arent places people shoudl ever consider going cheap...I personally wouldnt go cheap with anything on my car...but some have a budget to work with

koni yellows are ok (had them on my first car), i currently have tokico illuminas, and some friends of mine are runnin' kyb agx's. all of us have ground control coils. i prefer the tokicos over the other two types. personal prefs i guess. guy that runs the shop i go to in gresham, oregon called Performance Race Engineering runs tokico illuminas with gc's on his '94 lude si SCCA track car. you choice man.

Re: suspension stuff . . (jdm rookie)
well i've heard good things about both tokico's illuminas and koni yellows but im just wondering if they can BOTH handle about a 2.0 - 2.25 inch drop . . ? and one more question, if im rolling around on GC coils lowered about 2.0 with stock BLOWN shocks, am i damaging anything?

well with blown struts your car will bounce more plus when you hit a bump or something, it'll make that boing noise and the wheel will bounce around more. also when u going fast and hit a dip/ bump it'll throw the car off a little.

yup. i have experience ALLL OF THAT lol in just a month or so. I was actually wonderin if it would make my GC coilovers go bad, like the springs wouldnt start to sag . . .wud they ?
i also need personal opinions bout tokico illuminas and koni yellows, preferably from people that have them, or had them before . .

Had AGX's on Neuspeed Springs and never had a problem. They were pretty good to me and I barely messed with the dampning.
