Default Suspension Questions

I want to lower my car and still be able to adjust it for winter and shows. So far I like Ground Control Coilvers with KYB AGX struts. Does anyone have any experiance whith this setup? Can anyone suggest any other options besides going to a full race coilover setup? Also I am going to put on 17" Axis VPD wheels if that is of any consequense.

Thanks

Kirk

how about koni yellows? heard good things about them even tho i have no personal experience...

17 inch wheels are a tad big for civics in my opinion, but it's your choice and make sure you dont lower too much or it might rub

Koni's are good...I have them. The limitations to the AGX's are in it's number of adjustments. AGX's are limited to a few "bump stops", and the Koni's have an infinite range of adjustments. I'd suggest getting the Koni's if you are going to compete in solo 2 or somthing like that. If not then just get the cheaper ones.

One word... Bouncy. I think most of the coilovers I've seen are fairly bouncy.. You should look into the Tien CO's, they aren't that expensive, and they're real
I had sleeve coilovers on my Si, and I took them off and gave them away to some ricer kid.. Back to stock for now :sigh:

Has anyone herd of Maxspeed coilovers? The guy at the shop said that they fit better then the Ground Controls. Also, no matter what I do the rid is probably going to be more bumpy then stock right? I like the KYB because if a shock blows all I have to do is go back to the shop and they will give me a new one. With the koni I think I have to send them back for them to warranty the shock. This would cause a problem!

People I know live by Ground Controls for one simple reason, availability of different spring rates. If you're unhappy with the ride or performace, swap the spring, that simple.

I have AGX's and I'm super happy with them. They cost me very little and have held up very well. Bang for the buck, a great shock.
