Are you sure you have the right spring compressor, there are two different types? You should use the one where it grabs the spring on both sides and just tighten it until you can get it off. Good luck.

WTF are you trying to do? Are you trying to put your stock strut assembly back onto the LCA? If so, just put the spring onto the strut while it's off of the car. Then just have a friend step on the LCA as hard as he can and fit the strut assembly over it and use a jack to make them both line up correctly.

ok this is how i do it,,,,

step 1.. rear.. unbolt bottom control arm the 2 bolts on the left, then the 2 on the top, same on other, same bolts

step 2 place strut on grass and get a rug, put if over the strut, have 1 person stand on the shock and spring holding it down, then use teh air gun to gun out the nut holding it down , hold the rug down as well, same for teh front, so simple! be careful tho! don't look at the gun area' and aim it at a brick wall or something.

step 3... good luck to yah

ive down all my spring swaps this way, and its teh fastest = )

Just wrap it up in a towel and shoot it at one of your tires. That's what I did. But be very careful doing this. This method can cause serious injury and or death.

are you trying to get the spring off your car while the strut is in your car?

Dude..I hope not.

I sounds like you are having trouble getting the struts out of the LCA. Sometimes this is a pain. Get somone else to stand on your lca. Make sure you have the right bolts removed as well.
