Suspension Problem!!! Need help.
As you can see the driver's side shock is missing the upper part. These are KYB AGX shocks and I've had them for about a year now. I just noticed this like 3 days ago when I was going to clean my engine bay.
Could this have caused any damage to my suspesion???
What parts do I need to get this back to normal???
Thanks.

If you send a letter or email to KYB I'm sure they will send you replacement parts for free.
You can refer to this thread:

to find out how to get replacement parts.

Re: (Ziggie)
you are missing the upper strut rubber collar and the mounting bolt.. that is messed..
i wouldnt ride on that, your shock will be moving all around in there, you would probably warp the piston rod
goto honda and buy the parts, its not kyb parts you need.

looking at the pic, and seeing the metal shaving around the collar and suspension area. it looks like this has been bouncing around for a while. those threads are probably screwed. also one other things i noticed....where the hell is the bolt that holds that stuff on? that just won't back out by itself!

That happened to me. Theres a washer that holds the rubber piece down below the nut, dont forget it or the rubber piece will pop off.
If you forgot to put the washer on when you were putting everything back together, that is most likely the problem. Or maybe the nut just came off.

you are missing the seft locking nut, washer , sleeve also rubber cap, maybe more parts</TD></TR></TABLE>
these are the parts you are missing. i had the exact same problem and didnt bother to fix till i accidently went "offroading" on a horribly paved street. the shock was totally misplaced out of the hole. so, the only damage that you should have (if any) is just some wearing/griding from the shock stick on the car. you can get these parts (2 washers, nut, rubber sleeve) from any honda services dept at the dealer for less than 9 bucks. have them print out a diagram of the assembly and you can explain to them what you are missing or jsut show them physically, theyll give you exactly what you need. ask to keep the diagram cuz it shows the order of how they are placed.
Good luck

Wow! Did you just completely forget to put the top nut and washer on there? Not sure how much the OEM bushings are, but you could also look into polyurethane replacements, they are a bit stiffer though.

They came off on their own? Where they just not torqued down? I can't believe it would just come off, I think I'll check under my hood!

Re: Suspension Problem!!! Need help. (EVIL Hx Coupe)
I just ordered the parts and I replaced my springs too... But now when I put the whole thing back together the piston of the shocks stick out further up than they did before....
And I have a weird sound one of the sides... Th black metal thing under the nut moves.....
What part could I have put in wrong???
This is the order from bottom up.
Washer
Little metal sleeve
Rubber
Black metal thing that attaches to the top with 2 nuts.
Rubber
Washer
Nut
