depends how much you want to spend. some affordable c/o are skunk2 and ground controls. other may run you 1k+ like apexi, progressive, h&r, mugen etc.

it all depends on how much you are willing to spend, if you dont want to spend to much go with something like koni/ illuminas with some ground controls but if you want to spend some money I would go with some teins, or jic coilovers

skunk 2 's and ground control are not coilovers people....they are shitty sleeves that go over a shock and make people think they have coilovers.. all skunk2's and ground controls are good for is making your car bounce

i dont bounce around with my ground controls, and i know they are just a substitute for real coilover, they are for people who dont want to spend alot of money to get an adjustable suspension

There's nothing shitty about GCs...maybe Skunks, but not GC. GC is popular with those who autox because they are durable and they can be ordered with custom spring rates. If you can't afford coilovers, GC with some decent struts (like Konis) will work quite nicely.

i love my groundcontrols and illumina's, i like how my civic feels better then my friend that has teins, teins give kind of to hard of a ride for a daily driven car, but dont get me wrong if you are autox'ing teins are great, but only like 2 percent of lowered car autox. but i would go with ground controls and illuminas or konis if i were you spoon1

well yes .. true Coilovers like TEIN..GAB..TANABE S-S or S-0 .are truly good systems to go with..for now I'm running GC 300/350 ,KONI Yellows on my ek.. pretty nice.. and not at all bouncy.. but that's more to true due to the quality of the DAMPERS u pay what u get for..

do not get the apex ones they suck bad... they are too soft for one and they don't get stiff.. worst coilover out there

You can actually use the APEXi world sport coilovers and use JIC pillowball mounts. It's one of the cheaper solutions for having coilovers with pillowball mounts.

For me, I just ordered some Cusco Comp2 coilovers with adjustable pillowball mounts. They are height adjustable with helper springs and offer 4 way adjustable dampening. They won't be in the states until Jan. and I can't wait to get them

How are the pillowball upper mounts adjustable? The only adjustable pillow mounts I know of are ones that go on cars with macpherson struts.

the mounts allow you to adjust the camber... here's a pic of some:

I knew that already.

But I did not know that you can adjust camber on a double wishbone setup via adjustable upper mounts. You'd have to buy an adjustable upper A arm instead.

Never in my experience have I come across an advertisment showing adjustable upper pillowball mount on coilovers for double wishbone Honda application. I've only seen them on S14, R34, AE86, etc... all cars using mcpherson struts up front.

Doesn't sound like you need a true coilover.

I'd say Koni Yellows and Kg/mm DR21 springs
