Default Suspension choices?

Alright, to start out allow me to tell you what I currently have.

95 hatch
B18C1
I/H/E

It's a daily driver and I would like to build up my suspension. I searched, but would just like to hear what people think now...things change, new stuff comes out, etc...

Please lemme know you ideas for a good suspension setup. Thanks in advance.

Well, I did some more searching and found what I was looking for...but now let me ask how this set up sounds...

Shocks: KYB AGX
Coilovers: Ground Control
LCA's: CTR(front), SRR(rear)

Still pondering strut bars...

sounds good to me, but what about bars, stabilizers, etc. You cant just add springs and struts and call it a suspension.

If you are going w/GC, I would recommend calling and asking for a custom spring rate, considering that you have a 5G hatch w/b18. You probably need something just a little stiffer up front than the regular rates.

I would also recommend koni yellows over the kybs, but it really depends on how much you plan to lower the car.

I kinda like my setup. Tokico adjustables and eibach 1.6" drop w/ some struts and ties bars. Pretty good for now until I can afford some TIENS.

Has Koni yellows on it now...the drop is way too low...but then again the guy I bought it from has some ghetto rigged springs under there too...

Thanks for the help too...Ill call GC.

Keep the yellows if they're good. Get some 400/450 GCs. Si front swaybar, ITR rear swaybar. Good to go. Happy rotating.

Thanks man, The yellows seem/look fine...but I cant even explain the springs...hehe. They're horrible.

I will look into the sway bars. Thanks again.

can't you start out with just springs and struts before adding the stabilizers & bars, or will lowering the car with just springs and struts continuously throw everything off? im new at lowering cars. and if you do just use only springs and struts is it best to limit the drop to a max of about 2 inches?

Keep the Konis if they are still good. Even if they're not, you can have them rebuilt. They are WAY better than AGX's. I used to have those and they don't even compare to Koni sports. The PO probably has some sh*t springs on there set on the lowest setting on the Koni shock body. They have adjustable perches for added lowering.

I would pull them off the car and see if they still seem viable, call Ground Control and purchase a set of coilovers with custom rates (tell them what engine and car you have and they can help you choose) and make sure you tell them they are for Koni shocks because the sleeves are different.
