surging and whompa aka idle jumping, please help
i swear if it dosent get fixed im going to sledge hammer the whole [freak]ing car to pieces,im so sick of this garbage.....i have a d16z6
ok ive had this problem since ive had this car and im tired of chasing the problem in a circle.i checked for vacume leaks-none,i replaced the iacv with a working one, nothing changed,i changed the whole throttle body and it quit, but the tps was bad, reading 1.5 with the throttle closed and so on.i had it like that for a while, no more whompa but but when i pressed on the clutch while moving it would idle at 2000rpms,so i went and got a new tps recently and put it on.it reads correctly,i also checked the voltage of all the sensors in the intake manifold area and they all check out ok.just a min ago i rechecked for vacume leaks with carb cleaner and no signs show.so i took off the fitv and re adjusted the plastic screw, and nothing has changed.where the hell do i go from here?
i think the next stop is the garage for the bfh. ive already done evrything that i could fine on this forum and ht
so to god and the boys here on d series, and ht send me an angel or a honda guru or this honda faces death tonight.

Re: (jimmy o.)
well no but i checked everything following what the haynes manual says to do especially the iacv.thats why im lost.i have broken ones to be able to tell the difference too.so trust me ive checked.someone told me on d series that it could be the pcv valve, but i find that questionalble

Could have a vacuum leak. A few good rules, if it does it when its cold only the its the fitv, if when warm then the iacv. Take the intake off too, plug the hole to the iacv and if it stops surging thats the problem. incorrect adjustments of the idle screw and the screw the butterfly cam on the t/b sets on will cause it.

Re: (z6hatchboy)
yeah and as a last resort in the past I've taken off the IACV and the FITV and put a layer of electrical tape under them then bolted them back on, so that they couldn't cause that damn problem. I've seen this happen once before due to a bad O2 sensor. It's constantly reading too rich or too lean, bouncing back and forth. ECU tries to compensate by adding more fuel or taking it away.
