you need to do some research before you just into the world of forced induction man. there is alot more to it then just slapping something on and making big power.

Re: supercharger or turbocharged??
turbo--
goods:
-more power potential
-parts more readily available
bads:
-turbo lag
-not as reliable
-usually more expensive
supercharger--
goods:
-power through the entire rpm range
-cheaper
-easier to install
-easier tuning
bads:
-not as much power
-limited power potential
-parts harder to find
THIS IS JUST GENERAL INSIGHT

Re: supercharger or turbocharged??
go with a turbo. like t3 .50/.63
if you don't have the funds to build the motor, you can still get decent power.
8-9psi is safe on stock bottom end. mid/high 200whp.
if you're new to this, that'd be more than enough power and fun for a while.
good luck.

Re: supercharger or turbocharged??
Go turbo man. Superchargers aren't efficient past 8-9 psi. They heat up and subsequently heat the air they charge making it highly counter productive. FYI, turbo is just as easy to tune as superchrger. GL with which ever you decide.

either way the biggest thing determining your power output and reliability is the tune. Make sure that you get a good tune and you will be satisfied.
If it was my choice i would throw a turbo on it and call it a day

Re: supercharger or turbocharged??
I have an ek hatch with a usdm gsr and I also have the jrsc set up and many other goodies to maximize its output .I must say its a blast to drive and by no means was it the cheapest route . I have smoked alot of turbo cars with it and it will run with modified wrx s however I am at or at least close to my horespower limits now 300 on the m62 .If I had to do it over agin I would go turbo although I do absolutely love the instant power and the reliability of the supercharger .Do your research and you'll make the right decision .I have to laugh though everytime I see this question asked .I wonder how many times this has been dicussed on H/T .
