I think what you'll receive here is an overwhelming recommendation to consider a proper turbo setup rather than a supercharger, and that would likely be my suggestion as well. This is not to say that a well-done supercharged D16 would be a bad option, though. Before getting into it further, is there any reason in particular that you originally decided on supercharging?

Supercharging IS a form of boost, both turbo and super are. Though yes, padawan is saying go turbo.
@ OP:
Superchargers are nice for a naturally aspirated torque curve but on low displacement engines they really don't have good output. Since the Y8's only have 1.6L - you don't make a lot of power with them.
I'm sure with an 8-10lbs pulley you can make a decent amount of HP on a really nice looking torque curve with decent horsepower, but on a 1.6L engine you'll always get more w/ a turbo.

That wasn't exactly what I said, which is partially why I asked what led the original poster to decide on supercharging as the path he wanted to take.
Supercharging does have certain advantages, and as I stated, it's no necessarily a bad option. Turbos are generally more popular because of attributes they offer, but everyone has different goals and preferences for their car.
