Default Super Sprint 4-2-1 header

Hello! I'm looking for an exhaust header for my civic EK4 B16A2 TypeS (European version of civic Si). Recently i've found used SuperSprint 4-2-1 stainlelss steel header.

And now a few questions… I’ve measured it - the diameter of the exhaust (near the lambda sensor) is only 50 mm (2’) (inner diameter - 47 mm (1.85’)). Isn’t it too narrow? I’m planning to get a 2.25’ exhaust and ITR cams + valve springs in a few months. Is the diameter of a DC 4-2-1 header (or other comparable 4-2-1 header) more or less the same? Thanks in advance!

50mm is too small... even for a b16. Get a DC, if you're going to go this route, because they are a 2.25" minimum.

Hmmm, this model is dedicated for B16A2... you think it is too small for B16? Supersprint is a renowned italian exhaust systems manufacturer, these headers cost like 800$ and more!

i know supersprint is nice, i had supersprint headers on all (but one) of my VW's.

If you want the most potential from your B16, you're going to want to get a quality header with at least a 2.25" flange.

That's incorrect. DC Sports headers do not have 2.25" collectors. Their B16 and B18 headers all have 2" (basically 50mm) collectors, except the JDM 4-1, which has a 2.5" collector. You will have a very hard time finding a header with a 2.25" collector.

Thats true, Padawan, i forgot.

Damn, thats even a shittier situation for you.

The factory USDM ITR manifold has a 2.25" collector (with a 2" inside pipe, right?)

No, the factory USDM ITR is 2.00" OD as well, with a slightly smaller inner diameter due to the double-walled construction.

Damn, that ******* sucks too.

[PL]... just buy the supersprint if you're set on it, because the only other options you have are to either order a JDM 4-1 2.5".... or a custom header from Headertech/SMSP/DTR Fab/etc.

goodluck with the choice

Thanks Micro, I think i'm gonna buy it just because it is a bargain. I'll try it out on a dyno and than decide what next. One of the reasons I don't want a 4-1 header is that my cicic has a very low suspension (10 cm from oil pan to the ground).
