take your hacksaw to them...i think they'll get lower that way!!!!!
just get coilovers if you wanna go that low, makes way more sense...cause you'll probly find that your too low once you drop it more, and then you'll have to change back to your original H&R races again when you could have coilovers and dial it into the exact hieght you want in the first place.....
get Ground Control from eibach with custom spring rates for YOUR style of driving!!!!

Re: (SikCivic)
Skunk2 "Race" springs lower about 2.5" I believe, that's the lowest I've seen.
You might as well cut your springs, with it so low you are going to be losing performance and it's going ot ride like **** anyway.

not true. TOE affects tire wear. camber will also but not nearly as much as toe. pls dont give out false information

the Skunk2 ones are "adjustable springs". not coilovers. a coilover system is one like TIEN or ZEAL. a true coilover system is an integrated spring with a threaded shock body. if that route is too expensive, i hear Ground controls with Koni yellows are a great combo tho. not from experience but from experienced guys.

Re: super low drop. which springs? (2 point 0)
i would stick with the h&R race springs because i have them on my hatch and they are integra spec and i dont even get the full drop and its low enough for me. Its not bouncy like coilovers are but if u side with the coilovers i would get skunk 2 or apexi or something good or your going to be boincing all over the place. Plus u wont be scraping everywhere

why go any lower than that? If you want to be majorly slammed just cut your springs, but they aren't exactly gonna ride good.

i've had my car lower than that. ride quality was the same. it wasn't too low where i was bouncing everywhere and rubbing.

I know H&R has ultra-low coilovers. They have them for the Civic EC8/9, ED2/4/6/7/9, EE8/9 rear fork model, and also for the EG2-6, 8+9, EH6+9, and EJ1+2. They lower up to 130mm, which is extremely low. The only thing is, is that they are expensive (roughly $1500); but, if you have the money, I would def. go with those.

Re: super low drop. which springs? (protzler)
y dont u just pull the springs out and get some adjustable shocks and set em hardcore...see how u like that ride cuz basically u r ridding on shocks at that point of being that low

theoretically, the springrate 350 in the front and 450 in the back would do what?
alot of people say it will slow you down, wouldnt it keep the weight of the car from shifting back during launches? and wouldnt it help promote a little oversteer?

remove your springs, super low and won't cost you anything, I think Sprint makes springs that lower you car like 3 inches or so. If not I'll have to say coilovers.

Re: super low drop. which springs? (scdarksol)
I've gone through many suspension setups with my car since I bought it in 97. From stock to way to low to realy bad to even worse suspension. Finaly pulled my head out of my *** and got decent suspension and learned how to tune the car for performance. It now probably sits only an inch lower then stock and will hold it's own with just about anything in the twisties.
If you don't mind screwing up your car that's one thing. But others have to share the road with your scarey *** car.
OK now I'm rambling

Jesus, H&R races arent low enough for you? They are a pretty good dump, my opinion of course.

not true at all. my friend has some VERY cheap coilovers, and koni yellows, and the ride is fine. plus, if you spend the money, and get some good coilovers like the zeal, tein, apex'i, etc., the ride will be whatever you it to be.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

How would it "slow you down?" Who told you that? Whoever it was, smack them because they are a moron.
350f/450r will not come close to "oversteer," but a higher rear rate will definitely help make the car more neutral. However, a downside is that the rear spring rate affects ride quality more than the front rate - so having a higher rate in the rear will make the ride a bit bumpier for street driving.
