Default Sup i need help with an engine swap setup

i just bought a 92-95 dx civic coupe. It has a dx motor in it but it smokes. I prob dont want to rebuild it cuz i can buy me another motor for cheap. What motor should i buy? Should i buy another d15 or a d16y8vtec???? and is buying th d16y8 better than doing a minme setup??? opinions plz

I find it amazing that you've been a member longer than me and can't use the red link at the top right of your screen. this thread should be locked, it's worse than the "does this look ricey" or what's the loudest exhaust setup type of threads that are starting to pollute these forums more and more

sounds like you need a D16z6, unless you want to spend about $1500 and up on another swap

thats not one of his options. but man if you got the extra cash you can pick up a complete d16z6 for like 600-800. drop that in, its faster than a dx

thx u guys and yea ill prop find a sohc vtec complete then and yes i do have a dohc but for my civic that i just bought i want to stick to soch w/ it. thx again members

you can proly pick up a z6 and the ex tranny for less than 500, when I did my swap, I should all the z6 stuff for 450 including tranny and axles
