Default sunroof issue.

I have a 95 ex and for some reason my sunroof doesn't go up by itself anymore.
I have to push the button and push it up for it to go in "tilt" mode.It still slides back and closes fine though. Nothing out of the normal happened today that would cause this problem to start.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

to be honest im not really sure but on my crx it used to get hung up on a little peice of the track that was nicked...just run your fingers across the track and see if you feel any little imperfections on the track

Try some silicone lube or some grease, see how that works for u, will help if that tracks and the pulley system is dry,but not so much if the track is bent

I will give the silicone thing a try.The thing that confuses me though its only when it goes in the tilt mode.Once its fully tilted up it slides back no problems. But ill check it out later on too see if it still does it or not.

My 95 EX has the exact same problem: it gets stuck when I push the tilt button (thus necessitating me to push it up with my hand) but it opens just fine when I press the slide button.

I WD40'd the crap out of it and that just made it slide a lot smoother...it still sticks when it opens. I have the feeling that the opening motor might be dying. How many miles on your car? Mine has 236k

Mine does the same thing. When my car has been sitting in the sun and i go to open it, it sounds like the rubber is sticking to the body.

Use lithium grease! I too have a '95 Ex w/ sunroof and have loads of fun getting the thing to close all the way, to fully tilt, or sometimes it stops mid-track.
