Default Sunpro Tach messed up my car?

Ok so I bought an 2" sun-pro tach for my 98 cx and I hooked up the red wire to fuse 28(accesory) and the white wire to fuse 31(dash light) Black wire to a gold bolt under steering adn the green wire to the blue dead end wire on the driver side right by where all the wires come out the firewall.

Now my car cranks cranks cranks and nothing. After a few trys it turns on but the idle is all off and it shuts off. I though it had no gas but I put a gallon in. All this happens only after I installed the tacho. On one it shows rpms at .5 then next time it turned on at 2.5 and dropped to 1? WTF IS GOING ON!! (hangover yell) Plus I disconnected everything and now I get the same problem. Mind you my car was working smooth as a babys ***. HELP PLZ. It just got dark so my saturday is ****ked.

PS yes its on 4cyl

I don't think it was the tach that messed up the car.

Won't start? As in cranks but won't turn over or won't crank? More details please.

yea I got it running and after driving about 10 min it shuts off. Whats funny is that it takes a million times to start and when I crank and turn on my headlights it seems to fire up? WTF is going on? all this because of a tachometer install that was very simple. i have read that maybe the coil busted but how do i check that? what do you think?
