I would just use a 50/50 mix make sure to use distiled water if oyu make your own. If you are really concerned about the heat in texas you might want to increase the size of your rad if you are still running stock.

Agreed, you also get more if you use the concentrated one.

I've always just used PEAK. IF you live in texas, you could just put straight water in it, just don't let it freeze. Water transfers heat better than antifreeze, so if you want it to run just a tad cooler, just put straight water in it. Does it ever freeze in your part of texas?

Exactly, you don't need to do 50/50. I would do 75% water to 25% coolant. Or just do all water, cuz like "hall97civic" said water transfers heat way better then coolant.

later</TD></TR></TABLE> negative ghost rider. antifreeze/ coolant not only lowers the freezing point of water but it also increases the boiling point of water therefore increasing the amount of heat the coolant can absorb without the water boiling off

edit: want proof here you go

it's the pressure that raises the boiling point I can't comment if the coolant adds to that, but I have heard of race cars running water only. the bottle of water wetter also states it can be run alone with water. if I lived somewhere warm I would be tempted to run like that

if you use all water you leave a risk of having rust in ur radiator.. 50/50 or 70/30 is my suggestion..
