Stuttering under 3k RPM

Stock everything... for some reason, the engine is stuttering under 3k. I checked the spark plugs, they seem okay. I checked the oil, it seems okay.

What else can I mess with to try and figure this out?

Rotor cap? check for oxidation... a new cap is just a few bux

don't know if this helps but I had the same problem, and after checking everything, my engine was getting to much air, there is a little flat head screw on the throttle body that you can adjust try that before spending alot of money on the same stuff I did. lol
