stupid question, but informative for me..for newER car....
hey, i have a 86 crx right now that im keepin, but im buying a newER car in like a month or two.. and i was lookin at 99-2000 civic coupes...definitly either EX or Si. i want an Si but may not have the money for it. so maybe EX, but the question here is does ever EX come with V-tec or is it like a special package, cuz i know a friend of mine has two 95 EX's...ones v-tec and ones not...and the one with it is an automatic....jeez. but yeah, i know dumb question, but itll be appreciated.

for 96+ EX, and HX all have VTEC, it won't say it on the valve cover....but you can tell by the VTEC solenoid next to the valve cover or distributor.

get a DX (lighter and cheaper) then get your B series motor.

i guess thats true..but see...its the luxuries that i want that the EX has that i wont have to go back and change anyway...(moon roof, power everything, painted mirrors..handles...ect.) but thanks for the info, real helpful
