This is a stupid question but one of my friends wants to argue. If I swap in a d16z6 from a 95 Del Sol into my 93 DX Hatch that has a d15b7, it would be a hybrid, He says that it has to be a B-series, I say he is on crack, anyone back me up?

a hybrid is using parts from another car that originally were not equipped on it and making it work. So yes, it would be a hybrid. You could drop the B7 into a Type R and it would be a hybrid, a stupid one, but still one.

Hybrid. If you swapped a CX motor into an ITR, it'd be a hybrid. A hybrid (not the Hybrid Honda is producing) is defined as any Honda with an engine not sold as standard or option for that trim level. Some may say it's gotta be an engine not sold for that model, but whatever floats your boat. If you want to argue over little things, go ahead.
