Default Stumped... Over heating problems...

I have a 2000 Civic EX with a recent b18c spec r swap. I kept my stock cooling system but my fan wont kick on now.
I never had a problem before the swap, and it has only over heated once yesterday. It was crazy hot here in Florida and I was in stop and go traffic.
I kept the stock harness so shouldn't be any wiring issues, I assumed it was the coolant temp sensor so I changed that and still no fan.
I tried jumping the sensor plug and the fan kicks on no problem, so wiring should be good. Tested the relay and it's good.
I've read about the same problem but people ended up rigging the fan to work (stay on all the time) with no real solutions. ...
Any help would be great. Thanks

Didn't hear any mention about a thermostat or whether the system was bled.

Thermostat is good, system has been burped every time I've opened it up. I've checked and there are no leaks at all...
I have no idea what's going on...

When asking for help, terse responses don't advance your cause. Provide details:

Have you pressure tested the cooling system?

Any maintenance done before the engine was dropped in? I have a feeling either the thermostat isn't opening up or the water pump is getting the fluids moving.

How do you know?
It's a new thermostat. Lower rad hose stays cold while the engine warming up then goes hot when at running temp.

How?
Bled the by following steps in a Haynes manual.

Have you pressure tested the cooling system?
No I don't have a pressure tester. I have visually inspected every connection while running and everything looks good. I haven't been loosing any fluid.

Details...

New OEM thermostat?

What exactly is the Haynes bleed procedure for your engine? Is it the same as the service manual procedure?

I flushed the whole system, replaced the thermostat and hoses before dropping the engine in. I didn't mess with the water pump though. It seems to be circulating fine... I mean if you rev it with rad cap off coolant will spout out.

No it was a cheap pep boys thermostat.
* heater control on max temp
*connect spill free funnel
* top of coolant wait 5 min top off again
*start engine let run until no bubbles

I'm sure I missed something but that's the general procedure...
Am I missing something? Would a bad thermo even prevent the fan from kicking on? You can drive this thing all day but if you get stuck at idle for 15-20 min the temp will start to climb

Compare your bleed procedure with the proper one described in the Honda service manual for the car from which your engine was taken. The Haynes manual is a poor substitute for the Honda service manual. My guess is that there's air still trapped in the cooling system.

Does your engine have a bleeder bolt? If you don't know, look in the Honda service manual.

If your lower radiator hose remains cold when the engine overheats, then coolant is not circulating through the radiator. This could be caused by air trapped in the cooling system, a stuck closed thermostat, or both.

Did the fan kick on when you were bleeding it?

You are in desperate need of the service manual bleed procedure. Check in the Integra Type R forum.

I tested it in hot water on the stove. It's opening fully at around 175 degrees

He's just making sure. I've read toooooo many times where people have claimed t have done something only not to and the thread rolls on for pages and pages. Take it easy. No one is doubting your ability but there is only so much one can do over the internet.

Dude, I'm highly skeptical. You're unwilling to provide details, so why even make a thread asking for help? Just move on and stop wasting our time.

Oh I know, I've read them too. I really do appreciate everyone's input and I'm all for constructive criticism but it just seemed like we were going around in circles there for a sec.
