stumped no spark....
it's a 97 dx.
Well my girlfriends clutch went out so she parked it over night and we came to get it the next day. Then I go start it to see if it would move, and it seemed like the battery was dead not giving the starter any juice, so we tow it home. I replace the whole clutch assemble. Finished and go to start it but same thing as before. Tried push starting. I checked the (fuel/ ign coil fuses under the dash) and the big 40 amp ign in the engine bay. I've swapped dizzy's. Now wondering where to look next.
So please point me in the right direction in where to look next, thanks!

You can hear the fuel pump kick on.
I checked for spark and I have nothing. Checked the necessary fuses (all good). I've swapped dizzy's.
What else can I check?

just cause there connected dosent make them good. take your volt meter and put your black lead on the ground post of the battery then take the red lead and put it on the engine and the various grounds. if you see any voltage over .5v is considered to not be grounded properly. espically make sure to check the dist. case.

I'm assuming I don't, cause I swapped a working dizzy in and nothing. Sorry no DMM on hand.
Well since it controls power to ignition and fuel, you would figure it would take them both down.
But hey I guess it's worth a try. haha
And if it's not that then I guess ill check out the ignition switch?

This is a long shot, but maybe when you swapped dizzy's you fixed the problem, but from all previous attempts at cranking the car, you've flooded the car out. Did you check for spark after swapping dizzy's?

I swapped the in a working main relay; nothing.
I swapped the ecu out of a running car; nothing.
I even cleaned the grounds AGAIN; nothing.
What else can cause this no spark issue.
I just don't get what could cause this no spark issue after the clutch going out and sitting over night?.... Sooooo frustrating.

TPS sensor malfunction will cause the car to run like *****, but still run.
well the main relay was worth a shot for internet trouble shooting. i've seen it before. from here, its time to bust out a DMM and a wiring diagram and check to see you are getting your voltages, etc...

since you dont have a multimeter run a piece of wire from the battery to the dizzy wire and if it will start. also when you say "it acts line the battery is bad" what exactly do you mean? turning over slow? check to make sure the pos wire on that starter is tight, and also check every single ground agian and when your done check them again. big one on the trans, little one on the thermostat, and the one on the valve cover. be sure to check both ends of each.
