Studering after 5K.....
What's up? Engine is a D16Z6. After about 5K RPM at full throttle the engine seems to have little bursts where it pulls harder then drops a little. The weather has been very cold latley like 5deg. the other day but the car was well warmed up. Anyone got any sugestions??
Thanks,
Dan

Well, could be a few things. Fuel, electric, or air. Could be a sensor also that doesn't like the cold. With what you have said it is really hard to say what it could be for sure. Any major or minor changes that could have caused this? Ussually problems don't arise from not touching the car at all.

mine does a bit of that now and then.
my car had a major bogging problem about a month ago before i changed my fuel filter. now, it's acting up again--i'm not sure but it could be the distributor.

I have a similar problem. MY civic has 222k miles on it. Daily driven. I have recently changed my fuel filter, replaced a blown headgasket and all that stuff. Mine particulary does this hesitation thing around 2500-3000 rpms. Then once I get past this it is fine. It will do this in every gear until the car warms to about half up the temp gauge. Its not a big deal really just annoying. I think its just the cold temp. I do have a new fuel pump to put in, but its to cold out to do it. Do you think this new fuel pump will cure my problems?
Any help for me?
