Stud Tq down specs.
Im about to change the oil and VC gasket on my car. The manual I have goves me the Torque specs in ft lbs for the oil pan gasket. But for the VC it says 86 inch pounds.
So my question is...How many ft lbs is that? I just did some basic math, 86 / 12 and 7.1 ft lbs doesnt seem right to me.

lol there are 12 inch-lbs per 1 foot-lb so your calculations are correct, the pan studs/nuts arent all that tight but its necessary that you tighten them in sequence.
