Stuck and Stupid!
Well, I need your guys help. My 93 hatch with a b16a has been parked since November. I got a smog ticket and thought i couldn't drive it. Found out I could now. Long and stupid story so please don't ask. Anyways, a bolt from my rear motor mount has come off and the top one just broke off. The top one is completey exposed, i mean the top part of teh hole just came off. Anyways, I still have the top bolt that fell off and the thread looks clean. I tried getting it to go into the bottom one and it won't go in. There is nothing in the whole and it still won't go in. Is there a trick to doing this? Please help.
Thanks

Re: Stuck and Stupid! (vtecvoodoo)
Thanks for the reply, but the motor wiggles just fine. Thats the prob. I get the bolt in the whole. I never have to screw it in. It doesn't go that far in, but it is in. I start to turn it and it won't screw in. Any other suggestions?
thanks

well it sounds like the hole in the mount and the hole in the bracket aren't lined up.
The threads dont start till the other side of the bracket, so you will have to push the bolt all the way through either the mount or the tranny (whichever bolt you are talking about) until you find threads that you can screw into.

Re: Stuck and Stupid! (tonyXcom)
thanks for the help! But I need some MORE HELP.
Well, I did the smart thing and got some light in there. You see the bolt for some reason seems too small for the hole. The thread of the bolt just goes in about half way before it stops. At that point I try to screw the bolt in, but it doesn't go. I see the thread in the tranny, but that doesn't seem to want to grab, since it doesn't touch the bolt itself. Should the bolt not even enter teh hole without being screwed in? If the hole is jacked up, what must I do? The top one busted off and teh bottom one is well, you see I have a problem here. Please help. Here are some pics
Notice the thread. I put the arrow there. Now look at where the thread is when I push the bolt in without any turning or hard pressure.
Any help? What do i do? What bolt do i use? I have a Y80 tranny.
Thanks

Re: Stuck and Stupid! (hb_racer)
if that is the bolt you are trying to screw into the tranny, that is the wrong bolt.

Well, I got the bolt in today. It is the right bolt. Now I have two of the same bolts but that is okay. It goes in exactly the same way as the picture. It just passes up the thread up to a point. What do i have to do now? Buy a new tranny???? Cuz that will suck. Please help.... Anyone???
